Fitment Notice

Earlier Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmissions use a larger-thread neutral safety switch that is not interchangeable with this 1000-640-004 design. The practical identification check is wrench size — if the existing switch requires a wrench larger than 7/8 in., you likely have the older large-thread version. In some of those applications, the transmission control-valve cover must be updated to accept the newer switch style.

When to Replace
