A lightweight, tightly woven fibreglass cloth designed for composite laminating, structural repair, and protective covering on wooden and fibreglass surfaces. At 4 oz. per square yard and 50" wide, this fabric wet out cleanly with epoxy resin, conforms well to curved surfaces, and becomes virtually transparent once saturated — making it the preferred choice wherever a clear, natural wood finish needs to be preserved. The 10-yard roll format suits mid-scale repair and boatbuilding projects.

Best Use Case: This is the go-to fabric weight for customers doing cosmetic or light structural repairs on wooden boats where the finish will be clear or varnished — the 4 oz. weight wets out easily, lays flat on compound curves, and disappears under epoxy. It also works well as a first or final layer in multi-layer laminates where a smooth surface is the goal. For heavier structural work or high-load areas, steer customers toward the 6 oz. Woven Glass Fabric (60" × 20 Yd Roll) instead. For seams, joints, and corner reinforcement, the West System 731 Glass Reinforcing Tape (3" × 50 Yd), West System 73210 Glass Reinforcing Tape (4" × 10'), or West System 72910 Glass Reinforcing Tape (2" × 10') are better fits. Pair with a compatible West System hardener such as the West System 206 Slow Hardener for longer working time in warm conditions.
