Ultra Heavy-Duty Tinned Copper Battery Lugs – 4/0 AWG, 1/2" Stud
These Ancor Marine Grade™ tinned copper battery lugs are built for 4/0 AWG cable terminations on 1/2" stud fasteners — the largest common stud size in marine electrical systems, found on heavy-duty battery terminals, large bus bars, and high-capacity inverter connections. Pure copper construction maximizes current flow, while tin plating provides lasting protection against corrosion in salt air and wet bilge environments. The closed-end barrel seals the cable entry against moisture intrusion for a connection that holds up over years of demanding service.
Sold as a 2-pack, these lugs are sized for a complete battery cable run — one lug at each end.

Best use case: This is the lug for 4/0 AWG cable runs that terminate on a 1/2" stud — the largest common battery post bolt size, found on some Group 31, 8D, and 4D batteries as well as large commercial bus bars and high-capacity inverter terminals. The 1/2" hole is the key differentiator from the 252725 (5/16") and 252726 (3/8"); measure your stud before ordering. If you’re wiring a large inverter bank, a commercial windlass, or a main engine starting circuit on a larger vessel, this is the correct lug for the job. Tin plating simplifies soldering and ensures conductivity holds up even after years of exposure to bilge moisture and salt air.
