Arco DR001 Distributor Rotor – GM Module-in-Cap / Delco HEI Ignition
Replace the distributor rotor in your GM-style Module-in-Cap ignition system with this genuine Arco OEM-replacement rotor. The DR001 is the correct rotor for MerCruiser, Volvo Penta, and OMC stern drive engines equipped with the newer GM-style “Module in Cap” distributor — where the ignition control module is integrated into the cap itself. The rotor transfers high-voltage spark from the ignition coil to each spark plug wire terminal in sequence; a worn or cracked rotor causes misfires, rough idle, and hard starting.

It pairs with the DC006 (V6) or DC007 (V8 non-MPI) caps. The most common mistake is ordering a rotor without confirming the distributor style: MerCruiser V6 and V8 engines used several different distributor configurations across model years, and the wrong rotor will not seat correctly or make proper contact with the cap terminals. Always replace the cap and rotor together — a new rotor on a worn cap (or vice versa) will not restore full ignition performance.
