Arco DR002 Distributor Rotor – MerCruiser / Volvo Penta MPI Delco HVS
The Arco DR002 is a direct-fit replacement distributor rotor for MerCruiser and Volvo Penta MPI inboard engines equipped with Delco HVS distributors and ECM 555 engine management. Built to OEM specifications, it restores reliable spark distribution and helps maintain peak ignition performance in demanding on-water conditions. A worn or cracked rotor is a common cause of misfires, rough idle, and hard starting on these engines.

The DR002 is the right rotor for MerCruiser MPI engines running the ECM 555 and Delco HVS distributor — the configuration used across 4.3L through 6.2L MPI sterndrives and inboards from 2001 onward. It’s the go-to replacement during a tune-up when the engine is showing misfires, rough idle, or hard starting and the distributor cap and rotor haven’t been serviced recently. Always replace the cap and rotor together — a new rotor on a worn cap will not restore full ignition performance. If your engine uses a Module-in-Cap distributor rather than the Delco HVS, see the Arco DR001 instead.
