The GROCO ARG-2000S is a heavy-duty bronze raw-water strainer built for high-volume seawater intake applications on larger vessels. Designed for 2 in. pipe or hose connections, it delivers the same proven ARG-series construction as the ARG-1500S but with greater flow capacity for larger engine cooling systems, generator circuits, and high-demand raw-water applications. The see-through screw-on cap and tool-free #304 stainless steel basket removal make routine maintenance straightforward, while O-ring seals at the cap and sight glass ensure a leak-free installation under both pressure and vacuum.
Best Use Case: Ideal as a primary raw-water strainer on large inboard diesel engines, twin-engine installations, generator cooling circuits, and high-volume seawater systems on vessels 45 ft. and above where a 2 in. seawater intake is required. The large basket capacity and robust bronze construction make it well-suited for offshore and bluewater passages where reliability and easy servicing are essential. Not for use in potable water systems.
