A complete zinc anode service kit for the Volvo Penta SX-A and DPS sterndrive in full saltwater environments. Zinc is the traditional sacrificial metal for open ocean and consistent saltwater use, providing reliable galvanic protection for your drive’s lower unit, trim components, and transom hardware.
Both anode castings and the fastening hardware are included for a complete replacement in one service visit.

The CMSXAKITZ is the correct kit for SX-A and DPS drives running in consistent, high-salinity saltwater. Zinc performs well in full oceanic salinity but can passivate in brackish or mixed-salinity water — if your boat operates in an estuary, coastal inlet, or anywhere salinity fluctuates, the CMSXAKITA aluminum kit is the better choice.
Replace the full kit at each haulout rather than swapping individual anodes. Mixing old and new anodes — or mixing alloys — creates uneven sacrifice rates across the drive and can leave some areas underprotected. For freshwater use, the CMSXAKITM magnesium kit is the only correct choice.
