When This Kit Is Needed
Replace the distributor cap and rotor when inspection reveals worn or burned terminals, carbon tracking, corrosion, cracking, excessive rotor wear, or when ignition diagnosis points to the distributor as a contributor to misfire or poor engine performance.
Installation Notes
Disconnect battery power before beginning ignition-system service. Transfer spark-plug wires one at a time, or clearly mark their positions before removing the old cap. Inspect the distributor housing and electrical connections, install the new rotor and cap in the correct orientation, and verify proper wire routing before startup.
