Choose this over the CHIRP version when sonar image quality is a priority, not just a nice-to-have.

MEGA vs. CHIRP: MEGA Down Imaging produces significantly sharper, more photo-realistic underwater images than Dual Spectrum CHIRP. CHIRP is excellent for fish detection and structure; MEGA adds the visual clarity to identify what you’re looking at. If you’re on the fence, MEGA is the better long-term investment.
