The 90° inlet is the right choice when your pump mount location doesn’t allow a straight inlet to point downward into the water — for example, when the pump is mounted on a side wall of the livewell, or when plumbing constraints require the inlet to turn before entering the tank. This model (56444) is the entry-level option in the 90° inlet range, well suited to smaller livewells and baitwells where a high-output pump isn’t needed. For higher output in the same 90° configuration, step up to the Attwood 56544 90° Inlet. If your installation allows a straight inlet, the long straight inlet versions — Attwood 56504 and Attwood 56604 — and the short straight inlet versions — Attwood 56534 and Attwood 56634 — are available.
