Seachoice 4" Mohair Roller Cover — 1/8" White Nap
The most precise tool in the Seachoice mohair roller range — a 4-inch mohair cover built for high-gloss detail work in the tightest spaces on board. Where a brush can leave stroke marks and a wider roller won’t fit, this cover delivers the smooth, lint-free film that mohair is known for in a format small enough to work narrow panels, trim edges, and confined surfaces with full control. The 1/8" nap lays varnish, enamel, and single-part polyurethane topcoats in a thin, even coat with virtually no stipple. The phenolic core resists moisture and solvent absorption, keeping the cover firm and stable throughout the job.

Best Use Case: Reach for the 4" mohair when you need gloss-quality results in spaces too tight for a 7" or 9" cover — hatch board edges, tiller faces, narrow trim rails, cockpit coaming caps, and small brightwork panels are ideal applications. It bridges the gap between a brush and a full-size roller: faster and more even than a brush on flat surfaces, but precise enough to stay within tight borders. Like all mohair covers used with solvent-based varnishes, plan on one cover per coat — they’re difficult to clean thoroughly enough for reliable reuse. Not suited for antifouling or thick primers; use the polyester covers for those applications.
