Raymarine A06035 – SeaTalkNG Backbone Cable, 3M
The A06035 is a 3-metre (9.8 ft) pre-made SeaTalkNG backbone cable designed to carry network data and power between SeaTalkNG connection points on your vessel. It terminates with the standard blue backbone connectors used throughout the SeaTalkNG ecosystem, making it a straightforward way to extend or complete your onboard electronics network.
Product Details

Compatible Applications
- SeaTalkNG network backbones requiring a 3-metre segment
- Runs between SeaTalkNG T-piece connectors (A06028) and 5-way connector blocks (A06064)
- Extension of existing backbone where pre-measured 400mm, 1M, or 5M lengths don't match the span
- Vessels running mixed Raymarine and NMEA 2000-compatible devices via backbone infrastructure
System Overview
SeaTalkNG is Raymarine's proprietary backbone networking standard, physically and electrically compatible with NMEA 2000. The backbone carries both data and 12 V DC power to spur-connected devices. Each backbone segment connects via blue locking connectors to T-pieces or multi-way blocks, with the backbone terminated at each end using terminator plugs.
Parts Desk Insights
Best Use Case: Choose the A06035 when you need a clean, 3-metre measured run between two SeaTalkNG junction points — for example, bridging a T-connector at the helm to a 5-way block at a nav station. Pre-made cables keep connections tight and cable management tidy.
Common Issues: Customers sometimes order this cable when they actually need a spur cable to connect an individual device — the backbone cable is for trunk-to-trunk runs only; spur connections use a separate cable type. Also confirm the physical spacing before ordering: the 3M cable offers limited slack for routing, so measure the actual run including any bends or conduit paths. Ensure all backbone connections are fully seated (you'll hear a click) — a loose blue connector is the most common cause of intermittent network dropouts.

Technical FAQ
Can I chain multiple backbone cables together?
Yes — backbone cables connect end-to-end via T-pieces or connector blocks to build a longer trunk. Each junction point also adds a spur tap.
Is this compatible with NMEA 2000 devices?
SeaTalkNG is electrically compatible with NMEA 2000 using an adaptor (such as the A06076 adaptor cable). The physical blue connectors are proprietary to Raymarine's backbone.
Do I need terminators?
Yes — every SeaTalkNG backbone must have a terminator at each open end. See the A06031 Backbone Terminator.
