Spur vs. Backbone — What’s the Difference?

The backbone is the main trunk cable running the length of the vessel, using blue locking connectors and carrying both network data and power. Spur cables branch off the backbone at T-pieces or 5-way blocks and connect to individual devices using the smaller white 5-pin spur connector.
